The year’s most important days organised online by way of exception

News  29.09.2020

This year, the Subcontracting and AlihankintaHEAT set of events will be organised virtually between December 8–10, 2020. Even in these exceptional times, the three most important days of the year will offer the professionals and experts of the manufacturing industry a forum for maintaining existing customer relationships, expanding their networks, and learning more about current topics in the field.

Virtual events cannot replace traditional, physical fairs, but it enables new ways to meet in situations where physical encounters are not possible. During this exceptional year, the virtual event by Tampere Trade Fairs seeks to guarantee that this number-one industry event will bring people together despite everything. The good results we have of well-functioning remote connections make us strong believers in virtual encounters being meaningful in situations where normal face-to-face meetings are not possible in the normal way.

– Even in this exceptional year, the Subcontracting and AlihankintaHEAT set of events form an integral meeting place for experts and professionals in the manufacturing industry. That is why our virtual implementation aims to enable maintaining customer relationships for our exhibitors and visitors over these challenging times, stresses Tanja Järvensivu, Project Manager for the Subcontracting event package.

Tampere Trade Fairs aims to create an engaging event that fulfils the participants’ need to get together after a long pause and meet the whole industry. By taking part in the event, you can meet a group of people at the same time without having to move between points of contact. Thus, subcontracting brings people together even online. Networking will take place over the Brella networking service.

The event’s theme is Business from Data, and it will be examined from the perspectives of intelligent industry, security, and productivity; with data being the centre of it all. The theme will be highlighted in the columns and programme content published on the event pages. For example, on the fair opening day – Tuesday December 8, 2020 – we are organising a themed discussion entitled Business from Data, where the role of data will be handled from the perspectives of intelligent industry, security, and productivity.

The next physical instance of the Subcontracting and AlihankintaHEAT set of events will be organised at the Tampere Exhibition and Sports Centre between September 21–23, 2021.
