The second-largest subcontracting industry fair in Europe and the leading industrial trade fair in Finland Subcontracting Trade Fair together with AlihankintaHEAT, will be held in the Tampere Exhibition and Sports Centre on 27–29 September 2022. The event brings more than a thousand companies together under one roof, with the theme of Industry Appeal, Needs and Experts. The Subcontracting Trade Fair partner for Alihankinta 2022 is Wärtsilä Finland Oy.

Subcontracting and AlihankintaHEAT 2022 event unit is closely build around topical themes, meaningful encounters and the newest solutions.

– More than a thousand industrial companies will be present at the Subcontracting Fair, so visitors to Tampere will once again get to enjoy a fantastic, international three-day festival of industry! Awards for the Main Contractor and Subcontractor of the year, topical panel discussions

The opening ceremony of Subcontracting Fair 2022 will take place on Tuesday 27 September. The opening speech will be delivered by the event’s theme sponsor Vesa Riihimäki, Head of Production, Production Plants and Procurement at Wärtsilä Finland Oy, this year’s partner company of the Subcontracting Fair. The Finnish Association of Purchasing and Logistics LOGY will grant awards to the Main Contractor of the Year and Subcontractor of the Year during the event alihankinta.fi/fi/program/alihankinta-alihankintaheat-2022-avajaiset/. The opening ceremony will continue with a panel discussion on the topic of ‘Attractiveness, demands and professionals of industry’. The discussion is organised by the Subcontracting Fair and Tekniikka & Talous magazine.

On Wednesday 28 September, the programme is based on the theme ‘The future of industry and current challenges’. Under this title, we will explore such topics as the impact of the crisis in Ukraine, the procurement challenges in the field, cyber safety, preparedness, and the changes in the future of industry. A panel discussion with the same title will also be held in the morning. The Wednesday of the Subcontracting Fair also offers an interesting and insightful look into the future when the keynote speaker, futurist Elina Hiltunen, gives her speech: ‘Megatrends and the development of technology, and their impact on the industry of the future’. Thursday 29 September is the ‘Thursday of future makers’. The day’s programme content highlights the attractiveness of industry, contents that interest young people and students, and the importance of cooperation between educational institutes, institutes of higher education and companies. The fair day is topped off with the panel discussion ‘Future makers and educational cooperation’, chaired by the theme sponsor of the Subcontracting Fair and the leader of the new Engineering Academy, Peer Haataja. Industry Appeal as the theme,  Wärtsilä Finland Oy as the Subcontracting Trade Fair 2022 partner

The theme of the Subcontracting Fair and AlihankintaHEAT 2022 event is Industry Appeal, Needs and Experts. The theme highlights extensively both current and future needs and views of the industrial field. The most topical perspectives are the attractiveness of industrial field and attracting competent professionals into the field, the importance of new kind of cooperation, and the challenges and changes caused by the ever-changing global situation.

The Subcontracting Trade Fair 2022 partner of the event is Wärtsilä Finland Oy. Wärtsilä is a global leader in supplying innovative technologies and lifecycle solutions for the marine and energy markets In 2021, Wärtsilä’s turnover was €4.8 billion. Subcontracting Fair presents the metal, electronics, plastics and rubber industries, industrial ICT solutions, and the design and consulting services within these fields. The event has traditionally brought more than a thousand exhibitors to Tampere from around 20 different countries with about 18,000 fair visitors. The Tampere Trade Fairs Group organises the event in cooperation with Technology Industries of Finland, Rubber Manufacturers’ Association of Finland (RMAF), Finnish Association of Purchasing and Logistics LOGY, and Finnish Plastics Industries Federation. The event has been organised in Tampere since 1988.
